A friend sent this to me. I thought I would share it.
1. Give God what’s right — not what’s left.
2. Man’s way leads to a hopeless end! — God’s way leads to an endless hope.
3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.
4. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.
5. In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma–but never let him be the period.
6. Don’t put a question mark where God puts a period.
7. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift.
8. When praying, don’t give God instructions – just report for duty.
9. Don’t wait for six strong men to take you to church.
10. We don’t change God’s message — His message changes us.
11. The church is prayer-conditioned.
12. When God ordains, He sustains.
13. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.
14. Plan ahead — It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.
15. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.
16. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.
17. Exercise daily — walk with the Lord.
18. Never give the devil a ride — he will always want to drive.
19. Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.
20. Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.
21. He who angers you controls you. 22. Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.
23. Give Satan an inch & he’ll be a ruler.
24. Be ye fishers of men — you catch them & He’ll clean them.
25. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
God Bless.
Asa.

Thx Asabagna,
As I sit on the fence more often than not about how I feel about religion & what it means to mean, this was good to read

Dear Asabanga:
I hope you will pardon me for posting this letter here, in a thread not really related, but I think very few Black people are aware of white “progressive” Democrats’ efforts to drive Blacks’ religion out of the Democratic Party. You would never believe it, if you didn’t have the quotes and statistics facing you. But I’ve done some research and what I have found is shocking. I sent this letter to Senator John Edwards describing the problem and asking him what he intends to do about it.
I apologize in advance for the offensive anti-Christian blogger words quoted here, but these are exactly the things that have been said about Christianity by “progressive” atheist bloggers who are actively working as we speak to quiet the faith-oriented speech of Christian candidates like Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Clinton. If you have any idea what can should be done about this, I would certainly welcome your input.

Dear Senator Edwards:
I understand that in August you may be taking part in a presidential candidates’ forum sponsored by YearlyKos and DailyKos, groups whose leader, Markos Moulitsas, is an atheist and where 65% of members are either atheists or agnostics.
At DailyKos, “Lepanto,” a well known DailyKos participant, says, “Politicians who talk about “their faith” “give me the shits”.
“Mikey” at DailyKos says, “When Sen. Obama tells us to be nicer to evangelicals, it rings hollow. . . . It stings when the country is dominated by Christian/Paulite fundamentalism to have our officials backing the other side.”
Do you agree with the statement of DailyKos’ Gracchus that, “I really don’t see a way of restoring political discourse to a balanced position in the U.S. without squeezing at least some of the God out of it”?
Do you agree with DailyKos’ Ormond Otvos US Supreme Court advocacy that the words “under God” should be removed from the United States’ Pledge of Allegiance?
The group’s ring-leader, Markos Moulitsas, says “Religious values are no more superior than the values I learned from my abuelita.”
Senator Edwards, do you agree with the statements of Lepanto, Mikey, Gracchus and DailyKos owner Markos Moulitsas, as well as the anti-Pledge of Allegiance advocacy of Mr. Otvos at the US Supreme Court? If not, what will you do to publicly distinguish your views from theirs?
If you take part in the YearlyKos candidates forum, will you agree to their demands for “squeezing at least some of the God out of” public discourse?
Certainly, DailyKos members and the blog’s owner, Markos Moulitsas, have a Constitutional right to their anti-religious opinions. But, many Americans urgently want to know whether YOU SHARE those anti-religious opinions? If not, how will distinguish and defend your religious views from the views and anti-religious political advocacy of the atheist conference’s sponsors?
I eagerly await your responses to these pressing questions about the role of religion in American life and American institutions.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Francis L. Holland

We need to stop getting on our knees…we need to stand, watch as well as pray.
